THE STRATEGIC COOPERATON

 

Surabaya - Taking place in Sheraton Hotel, Surabaya - East Java, held on Thursday, March 28th, 2013, PT. Pelita Air Service (PT PAS) and Citilink had signed a Memorandum of Understanding in order to improve service for customers of both companies. It was such constitute a strategic step for Citilink, as a subsidiary company of PT. Garuda Indonesia Tbk, which serving the commercial flight in Low Cost  Carrier (LCC), with PT PAS as a subsidiary of PT. Pertamina (Persero), the air transport charter company which also manage Pondok Cabe AIrfield, Tangerang.

Future cooperation between PT PAS and Citilink will include cooperation in optimalizing using the Pondok Cabe Airfield as operation base and maintenance base for Citilink aircrafts.

On that occasion, President Director of PT PAS, Andjar Wibawanun said "That the use of Pondok Cabe Airfield is an effort to optimize the assets of the company which will provide mutual benefits both for PT PAS nor the Citilink as the subsidiary companies of State-owned  companies and also as a solution for aircraft industry in order to solve the density of air traffic in Soekarno Hatta International Airport."

Meanwhile, Chief Executive Officer of Citilink, Arif Wibowo also expressed his optimism with respect to such this cooperation. He said "We are confident this partnership could maximize operational performance to the fleets of Citilink to be able to operate better services for passengers in the middle of high growth of the air transport needs. This cooperation also proved that continuing to increase the flight routes, Citilink always puts safety and maximum performance throughout all of the Citilink fleets too."

LAUNCHING THE NEW AIRCRAFT SIKORSKY S-76 C++

Tangerang  –  As we mentioned in our uploaded previous news about Tender Long Term Charter Services for Conoco Phillips, Star Energy, and Premier Oil, and in orther to follow up this contract, PT. Pelita Air Service (PAS) is preparing to deliver the aircraft of 4 units brand new helicopters Sikorsky S-76 C++.

Through many preparations since last year, finally on Tuesday, February 21st, 2012, at 1.15 pm of local time, one of the 4 unit helicopters with the call sign PK-PUZ, has landed its wheels smoothly for the first time on Pondok Cabe Airfield, Tangerang.

According to welcoming this aircraft, the Management of PAS held the launching ceremony on Wednesday, February 22nd, 2012, in the morning. There were some Directors of mother company, Pertamina, and also many guests from BP Migas, and some of our valued customers including Conoco Phillips, Star Energy (Kakap) dan Premier Oil.

As a first start, the President Director of PAS, Mr. Andjar Wibawanun, delivered his speech. In his speech, he said that the aircraft renewal program is a must and according to this, hopefully will make the multiplier effect, which can give the impact for decreasing the aircraft maintenance cost, and this will give the better services  for customers because the high availability of aircrafts.

After that, all of the audience then listening to the speech from the representative of BP Migas, Mr.  Agung Budiono. In his speech, he expressed his thankfulness  and a high appreciation  to the Management of PAS,  because they are able to provide 4 new choppers with the mininum budget. 

Finally, as a shareholder, Pertamina, delivered its speech that was represented by Mr. Andri T. Hidayat, the Finance Director. He said that  Pertamina as a mother company, was very proud with this step, both in getting the award of this long term tender of charter service and for the ability to provide the 4 units brand new aircrafts. They valued this  step as a big effort for the awakening of PAS, and as a step to be the market leader in charter services for oil & gas producers.

After listening to all of those speeches, then the Management of PAS which was represented by the Commercial EVP, Mr. Edie Satriyo, conveyed their great appreciation and gratitude to delivered the token to the customers :  Conoco Phillips, Star Energy (Kakap) dan Premier Oil, the miniatures of chopper S-76 C++ for every one of them.

As a top of the ceremony, was launching the aircraft, in Hangar II  Pondok Cabe Airfield, which was opened by the Balinese traditional dancers, with the rhythm of Balinese traditional live music. The launching was started by breaking up the traditional teapot clay with the water inside, which symbolized that this aircraft is ready to operate and serve the customers. The President Director  leaded this procession.
After this procession, then almost all of the guests taking pitures with the aircraft as a background, and then praying together, and this ceremonial was ended up with enjoying the brunch combined with some live songs from the music and singer. TENDER LONG TERM CHARTER HELICOPTER SERVICES FOR 
CONOCO PHILLIPS, STAR ENERGY, & PREMIER OIL


Jakarta –  After many efforts and prayers that had  been doing, finally PT Pelita Air Service (PAS) got the awarding (Letter of Intent for Contract Helicopter Charter Services) from Conoco Phillips, as a final part of tender process in providing the helicopter charter services.

As written on the letter from Conoco Phillips Number OS-00523/AWD/CTR/2011 dated  November 23rd, 2011, which was mentioned that Conoco Phillips Indonesia Inc. Ltd, Premier Oil Natuna Sea BV, and Star Energy (Kakap) Ltd, had formally appointed PAS for operating the  helicopter charter services contract with  4 (four) units helicopters Sikorsky S-76 C++ for the period of 5 (five)    years time, started on May 23rd,  2012 until  May  22nd,  Mei 2017.

As for your information, the existing contract with  Conoco Phillips Indonesia Inc. Ltd, Premier Oil Natuna Sea BV, and Star Energy (Kakap) Ltd WNC for the  existing two helicopters Sikorsky S-76A (with the call sign PK-PUA and PK – PUE), had being extended since November 1st, 2011 until  April 30th, 2012. Besides this existing contract,  Conoco Phillips itself has trusted  PAS to provide their air transportation services with the fixed wing aircraft Dash-7 PK-PSV, for the period of 6 (six) months, since November 4th, 2011 – May 3rd, 2012.

Pelita Air Launched The New Lounge In Pondok Cabe Airfield

Tangerang – On October 18, 2011, the Management of Pelita Air Service (PAS) had just launched the new lounge, located in Hangar 2, Pondok Cabe Airfield (PCA), Tangerang. This way is one of the steps in optimalizing PCA, that in the future will be the Migas (oil and gas) Air Base, which means as the air base operation in supporting the oil and gas industries. In the current condition, all of the flight charter operation are centralized in Airport Halim Perdana Kusumah, and hopefully this Lounge is one of the alternative for flight charter operation, that in the future will become the secondary airport.

 

After taking the time for constructing approximately in 2,5 months, now we can see the new lounge, which named Airborne Lounge. The opening ceremony began at 9 am, which presented for more than 70 guests, including the customers, some personals of BP Migas, Pertamina, and others.

 

One of PAS customers, Pertamina Hulu Energy Offshore North West Java (PHE ONWJ) is the first customer which will start the flight operation from PCA, and using the Airborne Lounge.

 

The first agenda of this event was listening to the welcome speech from the management of PAS, that was represented by the President Director, Mr. Andjar Wibawanun. In his speech, he explained about  the current condition and facilities of PCA and the planning steps in developing and optimalizing the PCA, such as training and flying school, not just for flight operators, but also for oil and gas industries, aircraft manufacture, and others. Hopefully the PCA will develope more and give the benefits not just for PAS and Pertamina, but also for the environment and others, and for the state and nation.

 

The second agenda is the representative from BP Migas, the Division Head of HSF, Mr. Gde Pradnyana, that in his speech said his support optimistically for developing the PCA now and in the future, which hopefully will give the multiply effect, such as asset, human resources, thoughts, and others, and to use the PCA as the Migas (oil and gas) Air Base, which will have brightly prospect  in a very strategic location.

 

As the first customer who will use the PCA, the management of PAS convey the gratitude to PHE ONWJ, that was received by the Ms. Lies Widaningsih as the Senior Manager of Marine, Logistic, and PCSM, was symbolized  with the aircraft miniature, Bell-412 PK-PUK, the aircraft that serve the flight operation.

Then the next agenda was : the Lounge launching, started by opening the curtain of the name board of the Lounge, token by the President Commissioner of PAS, Mr. Iin Arifin Takhyan. The name is Airborne Lounge, which means  the symbol as part of the take off position, that hopefully after the aircraft lift up over the ground, then the aircraft will fly to the air and keep going up. So the philosophy is this signed the first step of awakening, and hopefully will be growing up  and up.

 

After that, still as part of opening ceremony was cutting the flowers chain in front of the Airborne Lounge, and was done by the President Director of PAS, Mr. Andjar Wibawanun. After taking the pictures together with the Board of Commissioners, the representatives of BP Migas, and the representatives of customers, then the audience entered the Airborne Lounge, and visited. This Lounge consists of check in counter, the Lounge accomplished by the pantry and rest rooms, LCD TVs, and other facilities as required for the Lounge. (ellen gunawan/SC-PR)

VICE PRESIDENT OF REPUBLIC INDONESIA

VISITING SHANGHAI EXPO IN CHINA

Jakarta – What a very precious and prestigious opportunity, where PT. Pelita Air Service was trusted by the Vice President of Republic Indonesia, Mr. Boediono, to handle the in-flight service and ground handling the BAe RJ-85 aircraft in terms of working visit of Vice President and team to RRC.

Through the very comprehensive preparation, Pelita Air tried to give the best effort to serve the best to Vice President and group, with the total 47 passengers.

The journey began from Halim Perdanakusumah Airport on October 18, 2010 at 01.00 pm, where Boediono went to Changi International Airport – Singapore, to transit, and then continuing the trip to Don Muang International Airport, Bangkok – Thailand. And then the next day at night, at 10.15 pm, Boediono straightfully took off to Nanning, China, and spent the night there, regarding to visit the Indonesian booth in the event of Shanghai Expo in that city.

The Vice President stayed there, until tomorrow morning, on October 20, 2010, Mr. Boediono and the group took off to Wuhan, and then went back to Indonesia. Part of the group continued the trip to Beijing.

In this over all trip, the in-flight service and ground handling service had been handled directly by Pelita Air, and through this trip, the President Director of Pelita Air Service, Mr. Andjar Wibawanun, also accompanied Mr. Boediono and the group.

Pertamina and the agents abroad as the fuel provider, also supported in supplying the fuel consumption in some station points. Hopefully this prestigious opportunity will bring the good image to Pelita Air at present and in the future. (Ellen Gunawan/PR-SC)
